A first national shoe and leather event for Paraguay

A first national exhibition of leathergoods and footwear took place in Paraguay at the end of August. The Sheraton Hotel in Asunción was the venue for the one-day event.

Footwear industry body CICPAR was one of the organisers, along with groups representing shoe industry suppliers and wider small enterprise organisations.

In total 45 manufacturers of shoes and leather products took part.

Small business support groups attached to the South American country’s ministry of industry and commerce have a special focus on leather and footwear this year.
