Social responsibility recognition for Lefarc

León-based leather manufacturer Lefarc has won official status as a socially responsible company for the third year running.

A non-profit organisation called Cemefi (the Mexican Philanthropy Centre) assesses companies across all sectors and in all parts of Mexico against its social responsibility standards. Those that fulfil its requirements receive the distinction of being able to call themselves socially responsible companies.

“We know that this past year has been difficult,” Cemefi said on announcing the companies that made it onto the list for 2021, “and that the companies we are recognising this year have had to go to great effort to maintain their commitment to social responsibility. We are completely confident that these companies will keep working to create a better Mexico.”

For its part, Lefarc said it was proud to have earned its inclusion on the list for a third consecutive year. “We’re very happy to be able to share this news,” the company said. “This past year has been complicated, something out of the ordinary. In spite of that, the effort and the good practice all of our employees have shown make it clear that social responsibility is an essential pillar for us.”
