This time, the newsletter reflects on the mood in the industry in the northern hemisphere as most players take a few weeks’ holiday. It insists that, as well as taking some time to relax, leather industry leaders are also certain to spend time considering how the situation is likely to develop in the later part of 2021. It suggests they are likely to fall into two camps. 

Optimists will see busy order books and rising prices. Their pessimistic counterparts will point towards increased production costs and uncertain demand for leather and finished products made from leather.
