The Automotive Hall of Fame, which celebrates the accomplishments of individuals in the international motor vehicle industry, has awarded its distinguished service citation to the chief executive of automotive seating developer Lear Corporation, Ray Scott.

It said a project Lear embarked on in the early phase of the covid-19 pandemic merited the award.

In response to the pandemic, Lear produced a Safe Work Playbook to help its employees feel safe in the workplace.

Mr Scott said he was happy to accept the award on behalf of the entire Lear team.
