New CEO starts work at Stahl
Leather chemicals group Stahl is now under the leadership of Maarten Heijbroek, who took up the role of chief executive on July 1. Mr Heijbroek has joined the company from UK-based specialty chemicals manufacturer Croda International, where he was president of consumer care.
He explained on starting his new position that, because Stahl is a customer of Croda’s, he had been able to get to know the company well. He said the levels of professionalism and “clear focus on customer intimacy” that he had observed in the members of the Stahl team had impressed him and he said he valued these qualities highly.
He said he thought the company’s recently announced strategic focus areas (open innovation, renewable feedstocks, digital transformation, and sustainable development) indicate that “Stahl is well aware of what’s happening around it and able to anticipate the latest trends and developments”.
