Zschimmer & Schwarz joins UN Global Compact
Leather chemicals group Zschimmer & Schwarz has joined the United Nations Global Compact, a voluntary initiative under which organisations commit to implementing sustainability principles.
Zschimmer & Schwarz said signing up emphasised its commitment to “shaping the future with a focus on sustainability and responsibility for society”.
Participating companies and organisations undertake to integrate binding principles in human rights, labour rights, environmental protection and anti-corruption into their corporate strategies and to implement them in their daily activities.
Participants also pledge support for the United Nations’ 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs).
“We are a global player with global responsibility,” said Dietmar Clausen, general manager for finance at Zschimmer & Schwarz. “Our corporate values require us to guarantee coming generations a liveable future. By joining the United Nations Global Compact, we want to emphasise our commitment to sustainable corporate governance.”
