Jaguar Land Rover announces electric ambitions
Automotive group Jaguar Land Rover has announced a new strategy called Reimagine, under which it will carry out electrification of both brands, Land Rover and Jaguar, on separate architectures with distinct personalities.
In the next five years, Land Rover will welcome six all-electric variants of Range Rover, Discovery and Defender vehicles. The first all-electric variant will arrive in 2024.
By the middle of the decade, Jaguar will emerge as a pure electric brand with what the group has called “a dramatically beautiful new portfolio”.
Jaguar Land Rover has said its aim is to achieve net zero carbon emissions across its supply chain, products and operations by 2039.
