GRSB prepares to launch global goals for sustainable beef
Multi-stakeholder initiative the Global Roundtable for Sustainable Beef (GRSB) has announced that the 2021 Global Conference on Sustainable Beef will take place on April 14 and 15.
The event will be online only, but GRSB said one advantage a virtual event will bring is that interested parties from all parts of the world will be able to listen to the presentations and discussions in real time or on demand.
Live sessions will be repeated with added question-and-answer components allowing “true global participation”, the organisation said.
It explained that this will be especially beneficial in 2021 because it will use its global conference this year to launch a set of GRSB Global Goals. “The development and adoption of these goals is important in demonstrating the beef value chain’s commitment and progress in achieving more sustainable global practices,” it said.
GRSB will seek to implement these goals over the next ten years.
