All-time high in China lifts Lexus 2020 sales figures
Leather-loving luxury car brand Lexus has reported sales of 718,715 vehicles in 2020, a decline of 6% compared to the year before.
In the first half of 2020, Lexus registered a fall in sales of 16% owing to the spread of covid-19. IN the second half of the year, its sales increased by 2% compared to the same period the year before.
North America was the company’s biggest market, with sales of 297,00, a decrease of 9%. However, its sales in China marked an all-time high, reaching 225,000 vehicles, an increase of 11% year on year.
There were decreases in all other markets, including of 19% in Europe, where it sold 71,000 cars, and of 21% in its home market, Japan, where the sales figure was 49,000.
