Double-digit growth for SICIT, even in 2020
Specialist fertiliser producer SICIT has reported revenues of €63.2 million for 2020, an increase of 11.5% compared to the previous year.
The company makes its products using residues from the leather manufacturing sector. In addition to amino acid- and peptide-based fertilisers, it also uses the material to make retardant products for the building industry.
Chief executive, Massimo Neresini, said on announcing the results that there had been “sustained demand” for the group’s fertilisers. A third stream of revenue, distributing animal fat from tanning industry residue to makers of biofuels, also achieved growth.
There was a decline for the building industry products, though.
