The inaugural Pan African Leather Fair (PALF), which was originally to take place in Cairo in June 2020 but was put back until June 2021 because of covid-19, has been cancelled again.

Organiser, Informa, gave no new date for the event, saying only that it was cancelled until further notice.

“We are currently running safe events in line with industry-leading measures,” Informa said on making the announcement. But it added that many countries still face travel restriction and said this was hindering “many of the market’s key stakeholders” from preparing their participation at PALF.

It said: “Our customer feedback clearly showed that it would be difficult to ensure a high-quality, in-person experience.”
