Michael Duck to move on from leather events role after promotion
Director of Informa Markets Michael Duck, who has overseen the group’s involvement in leather industry events in Asia since the 1990s, is to leave his current position to become Informa’s executive vice-president for commercial development across its global business.
In this newly created role, Mr Duck will work across the business, acting as the main point of contact for building relationships and growth activity in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and beyond. He will seek to do this through mergers and acquisitions and the internationalisation of products and brands.
Informa Markets chief executive, Charlie McCurdy, said at the time of the announcement: “Michael has been instrumental in building up the company’s presence across the globe and he holds important relationships with industry partners, government bodies and venue partners. I have every confidence that he is uniquely positioned to act as our global point of contact for commercial development.”
