Tanning drum technology developer Olcina Group has announced the death of one of its directors, Alfonso Olcina García. He was 82.

The group said Mr Olcina had worked in the family business from a young age, alongside his brother Ángel. It said: “We feel we have lost an important figure in our lives.”

In a statement, it described Alfonso Olcina as “the face of our brand” and as a person who, for many years, worked to build a presence for the company in markets all over the world.

It added that he had exemplified the resilience and perseverance for which, it said, the company and the Olcina name are renowned. “For us to preserve those values will be his legacy,” the statement concluded.
