Pre-covid results positive for Manolo Blahnik

Footwear brand Manolo Blahnik has reported its results for the year ending December 31, 2019. The results, for a time before covid-19, were positive.

The group reported revenues of €45.3 million for the year, 17% up on the previous year. Pre-tax earnings were down by 34%, reaching €6.75 million.

In the course of 2019, Manolo Blahnik acquired Italian footwear manufacturer Re Marcello and opened its first boutique in Paris.

It said the launch of the group’s own e-commerce platform at the end of 2018 had had a positive effect on sales in 2019. It added that investment in these three projects was the main reason for the fall in earnings.
