Leather is the choice under the sea

Marine engineering firm Triton Submarines has delivered the first of its 3300/6 leisure-focused submersibles. The craft is designed to give up to six people the experience of diving to a depth of up to 1,000 metres.

The craft features what Florida-based Triton has called “the world’s largest spherical acrylic pressure hull”, to allow an almost 360-degree view of life under the surface of the sea.

To make the excursion comfortable, the company has incorporated “plush seating replete with fine leathers and hand-finished upholstery” into the interior.

Buyers can expect to pay $5.5 million for the 3300/6.
