Online only for February’s Première Vision Paris
The organisers of Première Vision Paris have announced that the February event will be online only.
In a statement on December 15, it said “continued health constraints on a global scale” had led it to decide that the February event will need to be digital only. It will run from February 15-19.
Managing director, Gilles Lasbordes, said he thought the fashion industry’s “digital transformation” was entering a new phase thanks to a widespread embrace of technology and the implementation of new services. He said this has helped brands maintain and personalise their relationships with customers.
Nevertheless, Mr Lasbordes said: “We remain convinced that this crisis has confirmed the extreme vitality of physical trade shows, which are essential to ensure creative and business interactions between fashion brands and their suppliers.”
He said the pace of health developments would set the pace for a resumption of face-to-face exhibitions.
