Online AICC convention to take place on December 4
Like so many events, this year’s national convention of AICC, Italy’s leather chemists’ association, will take place online. This, the forty-eighth national convention, will be on December 4, starting at 17.00 local time.
It is an event open to all, but the organisers have asked people wishing to take part to register beforehand.
Its main theme will be ‘Tanning and the environment, the great challenge of the century’.
In the build-up to the event, AICC said: “Economic and industrial development have produced extraordinary results all over the world. However, the effect on the environment of this activity is threatening to compromise that success.
“Chemists from the leather sector are among those who have to make a contribution towards meeting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, especially Goal Number 12 [Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns], which has the aim of making industrial processes more circular.”
