Tanning industry technology tie-up
Tanning industry process control technology specialist Hüni has set up a formal partnership with software provider Team Duemila.
Santa Croce-based Team Duemila has been providing tanning industry-specific software applications since 1990. Its products include a dedicated enterprise resource planning (ERP) application called XTannery, which is currently running in almost 100 leather manufacturing plants.
As part of this new partnership, Hüni will market the ERP software to the global tanning industry. It said on making the announcement that another aspect of the partnership will be that the two companies will put their combined Industry 4.0 experience at the disposal of leather manufacturers around the world.
In keeping with this, Hüni will distribute the ERP software under the name DataTAN4.0, which it said would “integrate seamlessly” with an existing in-house software application, MICROTAN M6.
It said the combined software would collect data from all parts of the operation and help tanners make the most of their investment in up-to-date tanning machinery.
