Italian tannery mourns death of founder
Reports in Italy say the co-founder of Santa Croce-based leather manufacturer Dolmen, Pietro Giananti, has died after a short illness. He was 71.
Pietro Giananti launched Dolmen with his brother, Davide, in 1979. The company is a supplier of exotic and patent leathers to luxury brands. It employs around 100 people.
Local media said Mr Giananti had been an institution, not just in the leather industry in Santa Croce, but also in the wider local community.
