Organisers still planning to hold Prossimapelle
A recent ruling on exhibitions from the Italian government has given the organisers of Prossimapelle confidence that they will be able to hold the 2020 event, scheduled for Arzignano on November 20.
Prossimapelle has taken place each year since 2016, seeking to increase awareness among tanners and tannery technicians of the current technical challenges facing the industry.
With event companies having to cancel so many exhibitions in 2020 because of covid-19, the organiser of Prossimapelle, UNPAC, took heart from an announcement from the Italian government on October 18.
It said trade fairs were still permitted as long as organisers can guarantee safe conditions and enough space to allow people to stay at least one metre away from one another.
