Ferragamo among most diverse and inclusive companies

Italian luxury goods brand Salvatore Ferragamo was named the 25th most diverse and inclusive company by the 2020 Refinitiv Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Index, ranking first for the textiles and apparel industry. LVMH (34th place) and Kering (28th place) were the other luxury brands included among the 100 winners.

The D&I ratings assessed 9,000 publicly listed companies, using metrics across four areas: a diversity score, based on factors such as board cultural diversity, board gender diversity and women managers; an inclusion score, which measured flexible working hours, day care services and employees with disabilities; a people development score, based on career development markers such as internal promotion, management training and employee satisfaction; and a news and controversies score.

The industry with the highest D&I score was software and IT services. The textiles and apparel industry combined with the specialty retailers industry (under which Kering was listed) comprised a total of 11 companies.

Ferragamo said it was “committed to promoting and protecting the values of inclusion and equality to guarantee our people an environment where diversity is considered an added value” on social media.
