The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) hosted a workshop for leather manufacturers in Pakistan at the end of September with the aim of helping them manage solid waste more efficiently and lower their carbon footprint.

A senior representative of the provincial government of Sindh, environment and climate change secretary, Muhammad Alsam Ghauri, spoke at the event, which took place in Karachi.
