Sorensen develops double-sided leather

Danish leather supplier Sorensen has developed a full-grain leather with one side in nubuck and the other in suede. The two sides of Duet, the company said, allows for double-sided concepts and special editions.

“While nubuck has an exclusive look and velvety-soft touch, suede has a subtle elegance with slightly more depth,” according to Sorensen. “Create contrast, using the same colours in two different textures or vice versa.”

The leather is made with European rawhide, typically from Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Scandinavia, rendered in a colour palette created in collaboration with Tom Dixon Studio.
