WWTP innovation continues at PrimeAsia Vietnam

Leather manufacturing group PrimeAsia has said it wants to “continue pushing for improvements” in its tanneries in spite of the difficult business situation imposed by the covid-19 pandemic.

In keeping with this, it reported recently that it has made progress on a project to improve the efficiency of the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) at its PrimeAsia Vietnam tannery.

To help it increase the volumes of water it is able to recycle and reuse there, the team at the tannery, which is in in Ba Ria-vung Tau in the south of the country, has installed new technology to allow it to carry out Fenton and BioNET processes at the WWTP.

These technologies will make it feasible for PrimeAsia to recycle and reuse more water at the WWTP by, for example, reducing sludge and improving the filtering out of suspended solids.
