US packers and traders exported just under 7.5 million wet-salted hides in the first six months of this year, earning export revenues of $277.2 million. These figures represent declines of 25% in volume and of 32% in value year on year.

Figures for wet blue show exports of just under 1.5 million hides and revenues of $154.4 million, reflecting declines of 27% in volume and of 29% in value.
