Tanning group diverts celebration funds to help children
Leather manufacturing group ISA TanTec has cancelled its annual August party, diverting $10,000 in funds instead to a children’s charity called Deutsche Cleft Kinderhilfe.
The charity works to help children with cleft lip and cleft palate conditions. It carries out around 6,000 operations every year on children from all parts of the world.
ISA TanTec said covid-19 had made it impossible for it to host business partners and friends for its annual August party this year but said it hoped this donation to the charity organisation would remind colleagues of past events.
