Pakistan seeks partners for two treatment plant projects
The leather industry in Pakistan has opened up two contract bidding processes for common effluent treatment plant projects.
International partner companies have until August 6 to submits bids to help upgrade the existing treatment plant that the tanneries in the Korangi cluster, near Karachi, use.
Partners also have until September 2 to bid to take part in setting up a new treatment plant at the tanning zone in Sialkot.
The United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) will be involved in the new Sialkot project, which will aim to build a capacity of treating 4,000 cubic-metres of effluent per day.
