Two jailed over alleged luxury shoe brand fraud
A judge in eastern Italy has handed prison sentences to two executives connected to alleged irregularities around the liquidation of Les Tropeziennes, a high-end women’s shoe brand that went into liquidation in 2012.
Reports from Italy say that, after an investigation into the demise of the company, a court in Macerata has sentenced a former director of the company, Massimo Palazzo, and one of the liquidators involved in the winding up of the company, Filippo Battaglia to more than a year in prison each.
