Confirmed: no APLF in 2020
There will be no APLF exhibition in 2020. The organisers announced on April 9 that the next edition of the event will be from March 30 to April 1, 2021.
Originally scheduled for late March and early April this year, the 2020 edition was postponed until June 1-3 because of the Covid-19 outbreak. The organisers announced on March 24 that a further postponement would be required before saying now that it will not be able to find a suitable date in what remains of 2020.
“This was a difficult decision for the team and for the industry to make,” said event director, Perrine Ardouin, on making the announcement. “However we believe it is the correct course of action [and] will help sustain the leather and fashion industries in the long run.”
With positive signs of a recovery in China now emerging, the APLF organisers said they are looking forward to the All China Leather Exhibition in Shanghai, which is scheduled to take place from September 1-3 this year. They said the Shanghai event would “inject confidence” and provide the whole industry with a platform for resuming business.
