SSIA to make decision about convention
The Shoe Service Repair Institute of America has not yet cancelled its annual convention, scheduled to take place July 11-12 in Chicago, Illinois. It said it is monitoring the coronavirus situation and will make a decision in mid-April regarding whether to hold the event.
“We have spoken to our venue to ensure we are able to make necessary changes,” the group said on its website. “For now, we will continue to monitor the situation through mid-April to determine the status of the convention. We will continue to rely on the expertise of the CDC and local health officials. It is our top priority to protect the health and well-being of our members and the community.”
