Pakistan leather exports up in first 8 months of fiscal year
From July 2019 to February 2020, Pakistan’s leather goods exports grew by 11.17%, compared with exports of the same period the previous year.
According to the Associated Press of Pakistan, the rise during this period (the first eight months of the current financial year), was from $325,543 million to $361,921 million.
The report said that, based on data from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, exports of leather garments increased by 13.35% to a value of $198,965 million, up from $175,536 million in leather garments during the same period the year before.
For the same period, leather gloves worth $155,289 million were up from $142,573 million, and exports of other leather goods rose to $7,667 million from $7,434 million.
