SSIA postpones 116th annual convention to next summer

In response to the covid-19 pandemic, the Shoe Service Institute of America (SSIA) has rescheduled its 116th annual convention for July 2021.

Details for the rescheduled event, which was planned to take place this summer at the Loews Chicago O'Hare Hotel, are still being decided. 

SSIA also said that information regarding specific projects, such as the first North American Shine-Off, will be forthcoming. The shoe shining competition was to be held during the convention this summer. Potential participants had until March 15 to submit photographs of shined shoes, and ten semi-finalists were to be invited to compete live at the event.
