Maserati offers limited-edition leather to US market

Maserati’s limited-edition Zegna Pelletessuta 2020 vehicles featuring woven leather interiors are now on sale in the US on a “first come, first served” basis.

In April 2019, the Italian supercar company teamed up with fashion house Ermenegildo Zegna, which has trademarked Pelletessuta.

The thin nappa lambskin leather yarns are woven on a loom, replicating the traditional method of cloth weaving.

It describes Pelletessuta as the “next chapter” of interiors.

Maserati said: “This method is an example of combining new avant-garde technologies with century-old traditions to create innovation. Through a longstanding partnership between Zegna and Maserati, two historical Italian companies, Maserati is the only automotive company to bring this elevated exclusive interior to the market.”
