10/03/2020

Italy’s minister for the economy, Roberto Gualtieri, has announced a support package valued at €3.6 billion to help businesses there cope with the effects of the coronavirus.

By the start of March, Italy had confirmed almost 1,700 cases of coronavirus and had attributed the deaths of 34 people to the virus.

Among the measures Italy will take, Mr Gualtieri said there would be tax credits for any manufacturer reporting a 25% fall in revenues because of coronavirus.
