Ethiopia’s 2021 international leather events take shape
The International Union of Leather Technologists’ and Chemists’ Societies (IULTCS) has announced a change to the dates of the XXXVI IULTCS Congress; it will now take place in Addis Ababa from November 3-5, 2021.
Prospective speakers are now able to submit abstracts for possible inclusion in the programme. The window for submitting abstracts will remain open for more than a year, ending on July 30, 2021.
The organisation has made ‘Greening the Leather Supply Chain’ the theme of the congress and has said it will welcome submissions relating to subjects such as scientific research, leather chemicals, technologies for cleaner leather processing, composite materials that use leather waste as a resource, and environmental management.
Two other leather industry events will frame the Addis Ababa congress. It will be preceded by the World Leather Congress on November 1 and will be followed by the All Africa Leather Fair from November 6-9.
