Bespoke Birkins on offer as Hermès store reopens in Guangzhou

Luxury leathergoods brand Hermès has reopened its store in the Taikoo Hui mall in the Chinese city of Guangzhou.

Hermès has had a store in the mall since 2011, but it has moved to a larger location there and now has a floorspace of more than 500 square-metres over two stories.

To mark the reopening, Hermès made a series of exclusive products available to Guangzhou shoppers, including bespoke versions of its Birkin bag.

Some reports have said the reopened store took in sales revenues of $2.7 million on the first day.
