Leather chemicals manufacturer Stahl has joined a body called the Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials (RSB), motivated by its commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and to contributing to a sustainable bioeconomy.

RSB has a certification programme covering a range of social and environmental issues and based on a variety of standards. Stahl has said it will work to achieve RSB certification for its Waalwijk facility by 2021. 

Director of corporate affairs, John Fletcher, said Stahl looked forward to being an active RSB member and valued the opportunity to work with “an industry leader in supply chain certification and expertise in the overall area of environmental systems”.
