Samia to take lead role in finishing for Zschimmer & Schwarz group

Arzignano-based leather chemicals manufacturer Samia is to assume a leading role in the area of leather finishing for the Zschimmer & Schwarz group.

Zschimmer & Schwarz acquired a 60% stake in Samia at the end of 2019. The group said Samia would continue to be a commercially independent company but that, now, Zschimmer & Schwarz will develop its finishing business through Samia.

Samia specialises in pigment pastes, dyes, resins, auxiliaries for water systems and fixing agents for leather finishing. It will continue as a separate legal entity in its own right and will continue to respect all contracts with current partners. However, in addition, Samia and Zschimmer & Schwarz will now evaluate joint business opportunities globally.
