The Círculo Fortuny, a wide-ranging group representing all segments of the luxury sector in Spain, has named Xandra Falcó, as its new president. Ms Falcó is the daughter of the organisation’s previous president, Carlos Falcó, who died in March after contracting covid-19.

Luxury leathergoods brand Loewe will be one of 15 brands represented on the group’s board of directors.

The new president said she aimed to carry on the work of her father in “defending the values, culture, history, creativity, know-how and innovation” of the 53 luxury brands that make up the group.
