Gucci launching personal video shopping
In an attempt to recreate the experience of shopping in an actual store, Gucci is launching Gucci Live, an app to allow consumers to interact with client advisors as they peruse luxury items.
For example, as reported in Vogue Business, a Gucci client advisor named Valentina wore a black suit, bow tie and red gloves as she selected a $2,290 leather bag and showed its various features to the camera. She was in the 2,300-square-metre Gucci 9 client services hub in Florence, where the brand has established a faux luxury store to present from.
Gucci developed the service with a technology partner this spring, then the service was tested in Europe and quickly adopted, according to Vogue. It’s now being extended to the rest of the Europe, Middle East and Africa regions.
