Pan African Leather Fair organiser to host covid-19 webinar

The executive director of the Africa Leather and Leather Products Institute (ALLPI), Professor Mwinyikione Mwinyihija, and the secretary-general of Leather Apex Kenya, Beatrice Mwasi, will be among the speakers at a webinar on covid-19 and the African leather industry. The event will take place on June 8.

Other participants will include the executive director of the South African Footwear and Leather Export Council, Nerisha Jairaj.

Informa Markets, the organiser of the Pan African Leather Fair, which will now take place in Cairo in June 2021, is running the webinar. It said trade, investment, growth and employment are all being affected by covid-19 and said the online event will be an opportunity to discuss the global situation.
