Plug-and-play upgrade on offer from Cartigliano
Tanning machinery developer Cartigliano has developed a device that it says will allow tanners who use older models of its vacuum dryers to upgrade the technology easily and quickly.
Called Black Heart, the device can go into Cartigliano’s New Turbo, C or CT models and provide what the company has called a plug-and-play upgrade.
Benefits it has pointed to that leather manufacturers will gain from using the device will include, according to the company, an increase in efficiency in their vacuum drying operations. Capacity will more than double, it said, while energy consumption will reduce by half.
Black Heart will also offer a reduced cycle time and the ability to dry hides at temperatures as low as 25 degrees Celsius. This last benefit will also mean achieving a decrease in shrinkage and an increase in quality, Cartigliano said, while also lowering operators’ environmental impact.
