More than 200 tanneries still operating in Iran

Recent information from Iran’s ministry for industry, mining and trade suggest that there are currently 228 tanneries in operation across the country.

The ministry said there were 141 leather manufacturing units in the province of East Azerbaijan, 70 in the province of Tehran and 16 in Razavi Khorasan.
