Leather chemists’ convention postponed because of coronavirus
Italy’s Association of Leather Chemists (AICC) has announced that it is postponing a convention of its Lombardy and Piedmont division, which was set to take place in the town of Turbigo, 40 kilometres west of Milan, on February 29.
AICC said: “Because of the worrying health situation deriving from the spread of the coronavirus in the north of Italy, and because of the restrictions that the authorities have put in place in recent days, the AICC board and the organisers of the Lombardy-Piedmont convention.”
It said it had taken “the difficult decision” to cancel because it did not want “to put the health of delegates at risk”.
It said it would try to choose a new date for the event when the current health emergency ends and the situation becomes clearer.
