Leather takes centre stage in Milan

Like the recent menswear collections from LVMH brands, the womenswear shows featured a plethora of luxury leathers on the catwalks at Milan Fashion Week.

Leather, alongside cashmere, fur and lace, was at “the heart of the season” at Fendi.

Its iconic Baguette bag was presented in accordion shape, for the first time, alongside leather shoppers and charms inspired by vintage Fendi packaging, also a feature of the latest men’s collection.

Maison Bvlgari presented its leathergoods inspired by fine jewellery and “took glamour to unprecedented heights”, according to the company.

The new Bvlgari 7 Ways bag can be worn in seven ways, as its name suggests, and features a clasp inspired by a snake.
