Assomac celebrates positive Tanning Tech
Italian tanning and footwear machinery manufacturers’ association Assomac has said the 2020 Simac Tanning Tech exhibitions, which took place in Milan from February 19-21, “concluded with positive results”.
It said that, despite fears over attendance in the build-up, owing to the outbreak of coronavirus, the number of visitors over the three days “exceeded expectations”.
“We’re very happy with this edition’s results,” said Assomac president, Gabriella Marchioni Bocca, “especially in view of the circumstances and the current economic trends and global medical emergency. We registered good attendance from all markets, with the understandable exception of China.”
She said there had been interest in sustainable innovations and added that the event being held simultaneously with Lineapelle, Micam and Mipel represented “a strong draw for the industry”.
