Armani holds show in empty Italian theatre

Italian fashion house Armani decided to livestream its Autumn-Winter 2020 show via its website rather than present in front of a live, public audience, in response to the recent outbreak of coronavirus in Italy.

“The Women’s FW20-21 fashion show will be held behind closed doors,” the company said on social media. “This is a preventative measure decided by Mr Armani to support national efforts in safeguarding public health.”

The 16-minute presentation livestreamed on Sunday, February 23rd, at 4pm Milan time. At the end of the show in the empty venue, Mr Armani appeared and bowed.
