ANA cabin crew can ditch high heels, but leather rule stays
Japanese airline ANA has revised staff regulations that required women in cabin crew teams to wear high-heeled shoes.
At the start of May, the company said it accepted that lower-heeled or flat shoes would make the working environment for cabin crew healthier and more comfortable.
However, ANA continues to stipulate that the women who work in its cabin crew must wear leather shoes to work. It said pump-style shoes in plain, black leather would suit the rest of the uniform well.
