Pasubio donation will help low-income families in Arzignano

Arzignano-based leather manufacturer Pasubio has received praise from the town’s mayor, Alessia Bevilacqua, for making a donation of €300,000 towards local-authority efforts to help needy citizens during the recovery from covid-19.

Pasubio’s donation, Ms Bevilacqua said, would be of immense help to people in need. To give an idea of the impact this donation will have, she said the town had received less than half this amount, €135,000, from government funds to help it run a food-voucher programme.

She said the Pasubio donation would help support this programme and another that aims to equip local children from low-income families with materials to help them learn at home during school closures.
