The chairman and CEO of Italian luxury brand Tod’s, Diego Della Valle, told participants in a recent online conference that he does not intend to sell the company.

Mr Della Valle was asked about a possible merger with luxury conglomerates such as LVMH during the event, which was organised by RCS Academy. In response, Reuters reported, he explained that he had bought Tod’s shares within the last year and a half and that he was “going in a clear direction”.

Reuters also said Mr Della Valle’s potential share of voting rights in the firm is now above 80%.
